The Kia Stinger the highest performing sedan the automaker has ever built. When potential buyers walk into the Lakeshore Kia showroom and they see the Stinger, some are quick to dismiss it as a vehicle with just a slick exterior. Those notions are almost immediately dispelled once our product experts start discussing the fastback sedan’s performance specifications. After looking at that information, the first question they ask is, ‘How fast is the 2019 Kia Stinger GT?’ We hear this so often that we thought it would be useful to just get this information on our website so potential customers could easily find it. Additionally, before we tell you, we want to point out that just because the Stinger can go fast, doesn’t mean it’s ok to break the speed limit.
Customers have a couple of engine options and wheel diameters to consider when they are outfitting their 2019 Kia Stinger. These important decisions will directly affect the sedan’s top speed. Entry-level models of the 2019 Stinger have a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
These versions of the Stinger ride on 18-inch wheels and have a top speed of 130 miles per hour.
For maximum speed, owners can choose one of the GT-themed trims with the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter, V-6 engine that also employs the eight-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line trim grades have a peak output of 365 pound-feet and 376 pound-feet of torque. Owners who choose 18-inch wheels will have the same 130-mile-per-hour top speed.
However, choosing 19-inch wheels will see their top-end speed jump up to 167 miles per hour. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions of the 2019 Stinger are available, but according to information published by Kia, the drivetrain won’t affect top speed.
The 2019 Kia Stinger is available at Lakeshore Kia right now. Customers can take one for a test drive when they make an appointment with one of our product experts today.
